Overview
The theme was Make Me Laugh, so the premise is a farmer who stole the eggs and has to answer for it: the chickens leave the coop and come for you, and the only weapons in reach are your own hands and the eggs themselves.
The capture is first-person from the headset — two virtual hands at the bottom of the frame, a low-poly farmyard with a windmill and a barn, eggs and feathers in the air, and chickens running at the player from every side. It is a jam game, made at Northeastern’s site for Global Game Jam 2024 (22–28 January), and the whole design is one repeated physical action: turn your hands and the eggs on whatever is coming next.
Return of the Chickens, the VR shooter on this site, is a later game on the same premise.
